The course "Friendraising at Museums" revolves around the art of cultivating relationships: with individuals who are interested in the museum, donors, members, patrons, volunteers, and all those who have a passion for and engage with museums.

Participants of this course will gain knowledge about the most recent approaches, tools, and practices for activating, expanding, and developing friends' associations and supporting organizations within the museum context. By doing so, they will enhance the role of friends' associations as crucial pillars of support for museums. Through a workshop, participants will have the opportunity to consider the unique circumstances and possibilities of their respective museum operations, and they will develop customized strategies for targeted relationship cultivation.

The course is part of the ICOM Switzerland course programme and is held in german language.
